Why did I have issue with reading manga (broken/blank pages)?

This article shows you how to solve errors possibly encountered while reading manga (i.e broken pages).

How-to Guide

Depending on your device, the steps involved are slightly different. Select your version below for detailed instructions:
 

Instructions for iOS

If MORE than 10% of pages in a chapter fail to load:
 
The Troubleshooting feature will start if more than 10% of pages fail to load.

On prompt, tap on the button “Identify Problems”. The app will then try to load the manga from the original source. There will be 2 possible scenarios: 

 
Scenario #1: If Manga Rock CAN load the page from the original sources

You will have 3 options to proceed: 
 
Option 1: Continue reading from the web browser. Tap on "Keep Reading" on prompt. 



 
Option 2: Continue reading from Manga Rock source (if the same manga is available). Tap on "Open Manga Rock Source" and you will be redirected to the Manga Details View on Manga Rock. 



 
Option 3: Search other sources (this option will show if the same manga is unavailable on Manga Rock Source). Tap on "Search Other Sources" and you will be redirected to the in-app search results of sources that have your manga. 
 


 
Scenario #2: If Manga Rock CANNOT load the page from the original sources (source data problem / error)
 
You will have 2 options to proceed: 
 
Option 1: Continue reading from Manga Rock source (if the same manga is available). Tap on "Open Manga Rock Source" and you will be redirected to the Manga Details View on Manga Rock. 

 

 
Option 2: Search other sources (this option will show if the same manga is unavailable on Manga Rock Source). Tap on "Search Other Sources" and you will be redirected to the in-app search results of sources that have your manga. 



If LESS than 10% of pages in a chapter fail to load:

In this case, the Troubleshooting feature will not start.

If you are using other English sources aside official Manga Rock Source, we highly recommend switching to our official Manga Rock Source for better performance, stability and higher image quality.

Option 2: Continue reading from Manga Rock source (if the same manga is available). Tap on "View on Manga Rock Source" and you will be redirected to the Manga Details View on Manga Rock. 



 
Option 3: Search other sources (this option will show if the same manga is unavailable on Manga Rock Source). Tap on "Search Other Sources" and you will be redirected to the in-app search results of sources that have your manga. 



 
Scenario #2: If Manga Rock CANNOT load the page from the original sources (source data problem / error)
